The Auto Zoo

So I've decided to start posting blogs and photos with the various cars that I capture out in the wild. These animals are usually being tamed by their loving owners and when I capture them I will put 'em up as an exhibit for you to enjoy their beauty! Some of my colleagues have also captured these wild beasts, so their contributions will be a part of this blog as well.

First up, the Mugen Si. They only made 1000 of these bad boys from the factory. All of them have that beautiful Fiji Blue paint job. This one was altered with a Japanese Honda badge.

Here's another one…so that only leaves 998 I haven't seen…

A nice Fiji Blue specimen at the Sheriff's Office. Right next to an ACSO Charger.

My buddy Kb0t captured this mean looking Camaro at work.

A nice Porsche. I have never really been the type to profile people, but this was at the courthouse. What are the chances it belongs to a lawyer?

Outstanding!! Captured this F-430 at Centennial Airport right after watching 3 F-15s take off. Not sure what was the better sight to see, but here's the Ferrari

Stay tuned…there will be more animals added to the zoo.

Michael Jackson dead after going in to cardiac arrest.

At approxamately 12:26 PST on June 25th Michael Jackson passed away as a result of cardiac arrest. I'm pretty shook up by this...quite sad actually. I'm sad we have lost a legend.

Before you joke about it please understand, Michael Jackson was a pretty big part of my childhood, not to mention the impact he had on pop culture. He gave me many hours of entertainment and he is responsible for bringing us one of the greatest albums of ALL TIME. He never was able to reach that level of success again, but then again, no one has reached that level of success. It is unfortunate that his reputation slipped after so many different things, most of which had NOTHING to do with the music or the art he created and became famous for.

I will always remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard MJ died. I even shed tears when I thought of all the memories he gave but I rest assured that his legacy and his music will live on forever. It is time that people realize that we have to separate the art from the artist. Regardless of all the issues he had, the art he created is undeniably classic and I wish his family and friends the best wishes through this tough time.

Rest in peace Michael…

The baddest album of all time…

Tornado touches down at Southlands. Captured from my front porch!

I was working on my backyard yesterday and watched the tornado that touched down at Southlands Plaza form from nothing. It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. My son and I were watching the clouds swirl and I thought "wow, that would be crazy if this turned into a tornado!" No more than 5 minutes later we were watching a funnel come out of the sky. My buddy took a video of the tornado forming and he sent it to 7 News. They ended up playing the video on-air.

Here are some pictures from the tornado. Southlands Plaza is about a mile from my house and these are screenshots from a video I took. These shots are looking right off my front porch. We had golf ball and baseball size hail and overall it was an exhilarating experience. I posted the videos on youtube so if anyone is interested in seeing them I'll send you a link.
